SOCIAL MEDIA WORKSHOPS & TRAINING FOR CHARITIES
TAP Business Development, in cooperation with Innov8ive Software and BPE Solicitors LLP, designed and delivered a comprehensive social media training course focused on the use of Twitter for charities. Individuals responsible for marketing their respective charities travelled from all around the UK to learn about how Twitter can be used as part of a social media strategy to engage with those interested in charitable causes. The one-day programme gave individuals first hand experience of setting up a Twitter profile and engaging with followers. The programme went on to demonstrate a range of tools to allow individuals to get the most from their social media activity by integrating images and video in their content, conducting polls, geotagging and analysing the effectiveness of their communications using social media monitoring tools. BPE outlined the privacy, copyright, libel, employment and other legal considerations that charities should consider when delivering a social media strategy.

The programme was very well received and participants showed interest in further training in social media and marketing. In addition, private sector companies are also eager to receive training in the use of social media.
